Along the rolling hills, hand in hand, we are teleported to a place of reconnection to surrounding and self. The past reacquaints with the present. The conscious reacquaints with the unconscious.
So what is the third space?
Your internal space
Your practitioners's internal space
Nature
Nature is a safe transitional space between yourself and your therapist/practitioner. You are now both immersed in a space of regulation. In an office or closed room environment - where someone has dictated the ambience it can often mean that there is less opportunity to be expansive in thought and communication. In nature the therapist-client relationship develops on neutral grounds and Nature becomes the co-therapist, the regulator.
The vital 'third' space.
